Mangrove is a bespoke manufacturing ERP written and maintained by highgrove. IBM i native. Originating at Triumph Motorcycles. In production for 30+ years.
Tony Cantrill joined Triumph Motorcycles in the late 1980s and scaled IT from 25 to 600+ staff across UK, France, Germany and the USA. Triumph's manufacturing ERP — TRIMAN and SPAMAN — was written and evolved during that period.
When Tony joined highgrove in January 1998, the ERP knowledge came with him. highgrove rewrote and productised the system as Mangrove — and has maintained it ever since.
Mangrove is not third-party software. It is not licensed from another vendor. highgrove wrote it, owns it, and supports it directly.
Works orders, production scheduling, shop floor data capture — native IBM i, integrated with hardware.
Real-time stock control, goods in/out, location management and traceability.
Order processing, supplier management, purchase orders and receipting — integrated end to end.
Native integration with IPLS TBT EDI — trading partner documents flow directly in and out of Mangrove.
Integration with PrintBOS / PB Digital for despatch notes, invoices, labels and all production output.
highgrove can add, modify and extend Mangrove for specific business requirements — it's our code.
Yes. Mangrove is IBM i native and integrates directly with IPLS EDI, PrintBOS output management and highgrove's hardware integrations. It can also be connected to cloud, web and third-party systems via API and bespoke integration.
Yes — Mangrove is a native IBM i application. If you're not on IBM i, highgrove can discuss whether migration is appropriate or whether a different approach fits better.
highgrove provides direct support for Mangrove — because we wrote it, we know every line. Support is provided under a managed service arrangement alongside broader IBM i support.
Yes. highgrove owns the source code and can modify, extend and add to Mangrove for specific client requirements — this is a standard part of how the system evolves.
