Common questions

Things EDI clients ask us

Do we need IBM i to use Cleo?

No. Cleo EDI is platform-agnostic and works on any infrastructure. IBM i is not a prerequisite.

What EDI standards do you support?

All major standards: EDIFACT, ANSI X12, TRADACOMS, XML and others. Cleo handles any-to-any mapping and translation.

We already run VLTrader or Lexicom — can you help?

Yes. highgrove supports existing VLTrader and Lexicom installations and can advise on upgrade paths to current Cleo products.

What's the difference between Cleo and IPLS?

Cleo is platform-agnostic and works on any infrastructure. IPLS TBT EDI is fully native to IBM i — no front-end servers required. If you're on IBM i and want to keep everything native, IPLS is worth considering. highgrove offers both.
